MINEYE 2025 General Assembly in Bologna

The MINEYE General Assembly took place on the 4th – 5th February, 2025 in Bologna.

The meeting was organised by the University of Bologna and project partners presented progress in all WPs over the first year of implementation. The SO.RI.CO.M., Tharsis Mining and Norrbotten case studies / pilot sites were presented.

In addition, the members of the project Industrial (Advisory) Board participated in this two-day meeting and specifically Dr. Eric Pirard (University of Liège), Dr. Ledi Moisiu (EIT RawMaterials Regional Innovation Center Albania) and Dr. Jef Caers (Stanford University) who shared insights from their fields of expertise.

The MINEYE project’s overall ambition is to increase access to critical and strategic minerals and metals in Europe while also considering environmental and social impacts, by providing the mining industry. MINEYE aims to develop innovative and competitive technologies for the mineral exploration, operational, closure, and post-closure stages.

The project is coordinated by NGI.
