On 19-20 June 2026, the Czech Geological Survey (CGS), a MINEYE project partner, hosted its annual Open Days at its headquarters in Prague, welcoming more than a thousand visitors.
The event showcased the work of geologists and other specialists through a diverse programme of interactive activities, including gold and garnet panning, geological demonstrations, rock microscopy, geothermal energy exhibits, mineral identification, drone applications in geoscience, and educational activities for visitors of all ages.
During conversations with attendees, MINEYE was highlighted as one of the international research projects in which CGS is involved. These discussions provided an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of the project, its objectives, and its contribution to advancing innovative solutions for the sustainable exploration of mineral resources.
