The European Commission’s Knowledge Center on Earth Observation (KCEO) invited the MINEYE project to participate in a workshop on the topic of Earth Observation to support Compliance Assurance [agenda].
Dr. Saman Tavakoli from the MINEYE Coordinator team introduced MINEYE’s objectives and anticipated results and impacts, and participated in the panel discussion about stakeholders, EU policy, as well as challenges and opportunities for Earth Observation in the mining sector [short presentation].
The workshop was attended by researchers, representatives from industries, governmental and non-governmental organizations, EU Policy DGs and agencies, EU national public authorities, and Copernicus Entrusted Entities.
